In October 1999 the Naval Museum in Madrid opened a permanent exhibition on "San Diego", a Spanish galleon found by Franck Goddio in the Philippines in 1991. The remains were found 52 metres under water and a travelling exhibition was sent to Paris, New York, Berlin and Manila. Today the story of the "San Diego" and the artefacts found are exhibited in the National Museum in Manila and in the Maritime Museum in Madrid.
