The Society for Underwater Exploration's Plan of Discovery spans at least the next three years, in such areas as the Mediterranean, Caribbean and the Philippines. Two thousand years of world history will be brought
into the present by The Society's explorations, which will illuminate the seafaring role of
ancient China, the clash of European nations for control of trade routes and treasure,
and the disappearance of ancient cities and fleets beneath the Mediterranean Sea.
Franck Goddio has conducted underwater explorations for ten years.
During this period, scores of ancient sites and shipwrecks of historical significance have been
located.
The Society's work is global in scope, including the Mediterranean Sea, the Atlantic and
Pacific Oceans, The Caribbean Sea, and the China Sea.
