The Society

The Franck Goddio Society sponsors search and excavation projects around the
world aimed at finding and recovering or preserving underwater shipwrecks
and other underwater sites of special historical and cultural significance.
The Society also informs and involves the general public through televison,
the World Wide Web, books, exhibitions etc. around the explorations of Franck
Goddio.

Franck Goddio
|

Franck Goddio is best known for discovering the ancient royal city of
Alexandria and the submerged city of Heracleion in the Bay of Aboukir. He has found
more than ten historically valuable sunken ships. Franck Goddio is a founder
and Chairman of the Franck Goddio Society.

supported by professional divers, archaeologists, scientists and other

Prof. Jean Yoyotte, Professor at the Coll�ge de France in Paris and Egyptologist is supporting Franck Goddio and his team as the scientific adviser and co-ordinator of the projects in Egypt.
