Through the most recent discoveries in the Bay of Aboukir, lost history comes back to light! A large area sunken centuries ago unfolds a dramatic story.

Franck Goddio and his team excavated in 1998/1999 wreckages of sunken ships from part of General Napoleon Bonaparte's fleet. The results are astonishing!

After being hidden for centuries, the sunken Royal Quarters in the Eastern Harbour of Alexandria were discovered by Franck Goddio and his team in co-operation with the Supreme Council of Antiquities.

The cargo of a 15th century Chinese junk had remained untouched for more than 500 years, 32 metres deep at the bottom of the sea, after the ship had run aground on a riff near the costal village of Santa Cruz.
